There are some nice towns a short drive away - details and images below:
- St Ives (20 min drive) http://www.stives-cornwall.co.uk/ One of the prettiest towns in Cornwall. An old fishing village that has always attracted artists and potters. You could visit the Tate Gallery (http://www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-st-ives) and Barbara Hepworth’s house. Some very nice restaurants. We like the https://porthgwiddencafe.co.uk. Nearby is a very nice bar and restaurant called the the Gurnard's Head (http://www.gurnardshead.co.uk/)
- Mousehole (15 min) http://www.cornwall-online.co.uk/westcornwall/mousehole.htm. Another small fishing town - very picturesque.
- Marazion (5 min drive) http://www.marazion.info/ A small village with a tidal island called St Michaels Mount. Worth a visit to the mount if you like history and gardens.
- Porthleven (5 min drive) http://www.cornwall-online.co.uk/kerrier/porthleven.htm A small fishing village (the most southerly port in the UK) with some nice pubs and restaurants. Loe Bar is just beyond - a spectacular lake that meets the sea. One of our favourite places with many beautiful walks.
- Falmouth (30 min drive) http://www.visitfalmouth.com/ A much bigger town with a small university. It has a nice young buzz to it.
